• Arrival Time: Guests should arrive at Auberge Takojt at least two hours before sunset. Exact timing will be confirmed depending on the season.

• Late Arrivals: Risk missing the sunset camel ride and may need a 4WD transfer instead.

• Please note: the camp is only accessible with our guidance via 4WD or camel, so following our instructions is essential.

Upon your arrival, we will greet you at the kasbah. You’ll have the opportunity to freshen up from the drive, park your vehicle in our parking lot, and enjoy a refreshing glass of tea if time allows. Afterward, you’ll take on a 3 mins 4WD ride to meet your camels and begin the ride, you have the option to continue with the 4WD ride upon your request in case you get tired. This includes a pause at your leisure to enjoy the sunset on the top of a high dune.

🐪 Camel Ride Transfer

• The camel ride from town to the camp takes about 2 hours, with a stop on a high dune to enjoy the sunset.
• The ride is fully adjustable: if guests feel tired or uncomfortable, they can inform their camel guide, who will arrange for a 4WD pickup (usually within 15–20 minutes depending on location).
• What to bring: scarf/hat, sunglasses, water, sunblock, and appropriate clothing for the season.
• Essential overnight luggage will be transported to the camp by 4WD, while any additional unnecessary items can be securely stored at our office or with your driver.

Camel Ride Conditions

• Must be reserved in advance and confirmed at least one day before arrival.
• Once confirmed, camels and guides are booked and paid for. If guests arrive late and miss the ride, we will provide a 4WD transfer to camp instead.
• If you still want the camel ride later, there will be an extra fee of €25 per person.

Check-Out & Transfers

• After sunrise, guests enjoy a shower and breakfast at camp.
• 4WD transfers back to town start around 9:00 AM, with each trip taking 15–20 minutes.
• Latest check-out: 11:00 AM, as preparing the camp for new arrivals requires complex logistics compared to a normal hotel.

🌱 Eco-Friendly Camp Guidelines

At Tiziri Camp, we are committed to preserving the desert environment. We kindly ask for your cooperation to help us maintain our sustainable practices:

• Energy: All electricity comes from solar panels and batteries. Please switch off lights and devices when not in use to help conserve energy.

• Sockets: European Type C & E sockets are available for phones, cameras, laptops, and medical devices. ⚠️ Please avoid using high-power devices such as hair dryers or water heaters.

• Water: Water is precious in the desert. Please use it sparingly whenever possible.

• Toilets: Please do not flush toilet paper. Use the bin provided. Our natural filtration system recycles water, which is then used to irrigate the plants around the camp.

• Doors: Wooden doors should always be closed and locked. This helps keep insects out and prevents sand from entering your tent.

• Shoes: For hygiene, please leave your shoes on the small carpet at the entrance of your tent.

• Windows: Insect screens allow you to keep windows open, but please close them in case of sandstorms.

• Toiletries: All shampoo, shower gel, and soap provided are eco-friendly and biodegradable.

Important Notes for Third-Party Bookings (e.g. Booking.com)

Please note that reservations made through booking platforms do not include:

• City Tax & TVA charges: €4 per person per night (payable on arrival in cash or card).
• Camel Ride: €25 per person for sunset/sunrise ride (must be reserved in advance). This is excluded from booking platforms so that local camel owners receive fair compensation without commission deductions.

Tiziri Camp reserves the right to adjust tour logistics when necessary, based on our local expertise, real-time conditions, and commitment to your safety and comfort — especially in the event of emergencies or weather-related disruptions.
