How to get here - Tiziri Camp, The Sahara's New Secret

The road-trip to the desert is spectacular and you will see the scenery change again and again until the first dunes start to rise in the distance and the closer you get the more alive you will feel.

There are many ways to get here and you will need to decide which one suits you best.

Transport Options

Private Transfer

If you are staying at our camp as part of a longer tour which you have booked with us or another Tour Operator, then on arrival in the desert, your driver will either take you directly to the camp or to the Tiziri Office

From this meeting point you can ride a camel into the dunes at sunset. Our camels are exceptionally well treated (see Our Story page) but if you would rather not ride a camel, we will provide a 4WD transfer to the camp instead.

Tiziri also operate tours through an affiliate company under the same ownership. So, if you haven’t already selected a Tour Operator to work with, we can manage that for you. Booking your whole tour with us also means that your stay at the camp will be at a specially discounted price.

Self-Drive

If you opt for self drive, we recommend that you leave your car at the Tiziri Office in the village and we will collect you there.

By 4WD across the dunes = €20 / per person.

If you are an experienced desert driver and have a suitable 4WD vehicle and you do decide to drive directly to the camp on your own, the location is as follows;

By Camel

Most guests elect to reach the camp by camel and the trek can be any length / duration you require. It takes approximately 2 hours from the Tiziri Office to the camp but if this is too long for you we will adapt the start / end point, in order to reduce that to 30 minutes or 1 hr if you prefer. This is included in your price if you book with us direct.

Depending on the season you would need to be ready to depart by 4 to 5 pm.

Alternatively we can drive you all the way to the camp and then you can enjoy a camel trek from there at the extra charge of €25 per camel

Domestic Flight

There are flights to Ouarzazate (5hrs from Merzouga ) and Errachidia (2hrs from Merzouga). We will provide a transfer from the airport to the camp at the following prices:

Errachidia to camp €75 (private Taxi) or (€95 4WD)
Ouarzazate to camp €250
Marrakech to camp €395
Fes to camp Euro €380

(all prices are per vehicle based on 1 to 6 passengers.

It is ALWAYS more cost effective to book a multi-day tour with us than to take these one day transfer options.
