The Fes–Marrakech route in reverse — the High Atlas and Aït Benhaddou first, then the dunes, then north to Fes.
Day 1
Marrakech to the Dades Valley
Marrakech → Tizi n'Tichka Pass → Aït Benhaddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Valley. The High Atlas first, then the UNESCO kasbah of Aït Benhaddou and Ouarzazate's old film studios, continuing to the Dades Valley for the night.
Day 2
Todra Gorge to Erg Chebbi
Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Merzouga → camel trekking into the dunes. A morning at the Todra Gorge, then on to Merzouga, where camels (or a 4WD) carry you into Erg Chebbi for sunset, dinner, and traditional music at Tiziri Camp.
Day 3
Sunrise and North to Fes
An optional sunrise over the dunes, then the return journey north through the Ziz Valley and Midelt, arriving in Fes by evening.
