Welcome to Tiziri Camp. By confirming your booking, you agree to the following policies. These terms ensure the safety of our guests, the welfare of the desert environment, and the preservation of the authentic atmosphere we provide.
1. Booking & Confirmation
- Deposit: To secure your stay, a 30% deposit is required. Payment details will be sent upon confirmation of availability.
- Peak Season Holds: During high-demand periods, unconfirmed tents are held for 24 to 72 hours before being released back into our booking system.
2. Check-In, Arrivals & Logistics
- Punctuality: Respecting check-in and check-out timings is essential to ensuring the best possible experience for all guests.
- Arrival Window: Guests are requested to arrive at our meeting point in Merzouga at least 2 hours before sunset.
- The Journey to Camp: Tiziri Camp is located deep within the dunes and is only accessible via 4WD vehicle or camel trek. It is a remote desert experience, not a standard hotel.
- Luggage Management: For those choosing to arrive by camel, please carry as light as possible. All necessary main luggage (packed in advance) will be transported separately to the camp via our 4WD vehicles for your comfort.

3. Activities & Liability
- Third-Party Services: Please note that activities such as Quad-biking, Dune Buggies, Horse Riding, and Camel Trekking are provided by third-party vendors. Tiziri Camp acts as a facilitator and is not responsible for their insurance or operational policies.
- Sand-Boarding: We provide sand-boards for our guests to enjoy free of charge. However, please note that this activity is undertaken entirely at your own risk. Tiziri Camp accepts no liability for any accidents, falls, or injuries sustained while sand-boarding.
- General Liability: We strongly recommend that all guests hold comprehensive travel and medical insurance that covers desert activities.
4. Durable Tourism & Ethical Animal Welfare
At Tiziri Camp, mutual respect toward nature, people, and animals is crucial to our mission of Durable Tourism.
- Ethical Partnership: Tiziri Camp does not “own” camels. All camels belong to local nomadic families. We partner exclusively with families who provide well-fed, well-treated, and insured animals.
- Conduct: We reserve the right to cancel the booking of any guest who displays disrespectful or harmful behavior toward our staff, the environment, or the animals.
5. The Musical Atmosphere & Nightly Experience
- Traditional Performance: Nightly live music around the fire pit is a core part of the Tiziri experience.
- Safety Adaptations: Because our camp is made of traditional, flammable materials, safety is our priority. We reserve the right to move performances inside the restaurant tent or cancel the fire in the event of wind, sandstorms, or weather concerns.
- Curfew & Intimacy: In accordance with the local Desert Camp Association agreement, all music in the dunes must conclude by midnight (12:00 AM). As Tiziri is an intimate, boutique camp, we may conclude the music earlier depending on the atmosphere.
6. Safety & Force Majeure
- Weather & Technical Issues: Tiziri Camp reserves the right to cancel a booking or specific activity due to extreme weather (flooding, high winds damaging tents) or a major last-minute system failure (water/electricity).
7. Guest Responsibilities
To ensure a seamless stay, guests must provide:
- A valid phone number (or their driver’s contact).
- Notification of any dietary requirements (Vegan, Allergies, etc.) or health concerns at least 48 hours in advance.
8. Cancellation Policy
- 30 to 15 days before arrival: 50% of the total booking amount is charged.
- Less than 14 days before arrival: The full booking amount (100%) is due.
